Sony Cyber-shot DSC-T50 review

i have to say that i don't usually post this kind of reviews, but in all fairness i want to do some justice to this nice camera, especially against the previous posters here.
if you want to buy this camera read some of the reviews for t30 and t10, i found them more realistic...

even i'm a professional photographer i've bought this camera for my family pictures.
reguarding my previous experience with digital cameras (if relevant):
for my work i' ve owned: nikon d100, fuji s2, kodak 14n, phase one h25 and now phase one p45, soon to be upgrated to p45+.
my previous "family camera" were: nikon 990, canon a70, canon g6 and now sony t50.

the pros:
excelent GUI, intuitive menu.
excelent movie mode, probably industry best at this time (2006), with good AF, zoom during shooting.
very good image quality in the daylight (i mean on the par with any 6mpx DSLR).
very well built.

i don't mind for the lack of raw mode, i highly reccomend this camera for the casual shooter.
if you're interested in raw and stuff, you're probably looking after a DSLR anyway, because the T50 is just another kind of camera.

the cons:
bad, bad red eye effect (in fact, it is a kind of...white pupils instead of red...)
