Contruction
--------------------------------------
The body is solid, and doesn't feel as cheap as fx. Canon EOS 350D. It certainly is easier to handle, and it's way faster to do manual settings on the KM 5D, than the EOS 350D.
Compared to Nikon D50, I'd say that the two are on par. The KM 5D has an advange because of the bigger screen, but that's about it.
I'd have liked a bigger and brighter viewfinder a'la Pentax, but hey - then I should've looked for big brother DYNAX 7D.

Features
--------------------------------------
AntiShake works flawlessly. Far better than I'd expected, as I had grown fond of the Canon IS-lenses.
The resolution of the 2,5" screen isn't that high - but once again, then I should've bought big brother 7D. Furthermore, the lack of a PC-sync plug in the DYNAX 5D, makes it a bit harder to do studio photography - you have to buy something like the Minolta PCT-100 flash shoe converter.
--------------------------------------
Image quality
--------------------------------------
What surprised me (positively) was, that the DYNAX 5D performs best at ISO 200. At ISO 100, there's actually a tad more noise - though it's very hard to see. Images are very useable for large prints even at ISO 800, and at ISO 1600 you can use noise reduction software, and thus still use the images for fx. stock.
The dynamic range is superb - actually, when using the ISO 200Hi option, it's on par with the Canon EOS 1Ds Mark II.
Wow.
The AF could/should be faster. It has nothing to do with the lens - the camera itself just isn't as fast as Canon EOS 350D and/or Nikon D50. Though the AF on the KM 5D isn't exactly slow, I wouldn't call it speedy either.
--------------------------------------
Ease of use
--------------------------------------
Controls and layout is very intuitive, and no matter what you want to do, operation and handling is fast and easy.
The eye-dectector (or whatever it's called) works like a charm!
--------------------------------------
Value for money
--------------------------------------
The Nikon D50 is very close to the KM 5D - but in the end, the KM 5D provided best "value for money" for me, because of:
=> AntiShake feature
=> Bigger screen
The D50 wins when it comes to autofocus speed, and yes - the Nikon CLS is to me, far more attractive than Minolta ADI. But I've bought 4 flash units with built-in slaves, and it actually does a very nice job indeed!
Problems:
None so far. And I've really *used* my camera - I'm not that gentle. And not a single problem as of this date!
Quite impressive.
