I just got the 400D and I can say it is a better camera than the 350D not by a large margin, mainly it's 9 point AF is so much better, the 350 was ok, but this is superb. Image quality is probably the same as the 350, but I have gone for the 18-70 Sigma lens. Do your pics justice get a good lens, the kit lens is £40 of glass, get a decent lens and the 350 & 400 really shine, 2.5 LCD is a nice improvement, the new menu & scene settings make life easiier. Second best of all improvements, is the cleaning system, it's a big problem with D SLR, if your a new shutter bug with another D SLR, the next time your outside in the daylight, take a shot at the sky, then zoom in 100% on the pic, I bet many users will find dust particles. For budding shutter bugs looking to step up to a D SLR, Unless you can afford a 5D, this is your best bet, the 400D is the best all rounder, and the cheapest.
