Nikon D40X review


Size and weight.

Lots of pre-programmed settings so you can set the icon to the type of picture you intend to take and then you can snap away.

Rechargeable battery. I prefer the lithium ion to the AAs.


Price. It's not cheap for a camera but if you do the research, you'll find that it's a bargain for SLRs.

Trusted brand name.


Lens cap doesn't come with a string to hold to the camera or the lens.

Camera strap isn't that comfortable.

Spartan written documentation. On the other hand, we bought the camera in a kit from Costco which came with two very good instructional DVDs.
