Canon PowerShot G7 review

Costruction is excellent, never seen a compact like this...beautiful!
Solid and very well made...I love it!

Features...with many customization possibilities, an excellent ergonomy ( almost
everything is easy, and fast, to control without going throught menu...) is
impossible to no give five star to this little beauty!

Image Quality.
This is a critical point.
It's a compact with a 1/1,8" tiny sensor....with TEN MP...
Digic III is very good...but it's not holy...so if you're going beyond 200 ISO you
must know you are going to accept a compromise....
Many cameras works better (such as the beautiful Fuji F31, great camera!) but most
cameras works worst.
I tried and ,up to 800 ISO , if you manage very well exposure and composition, you
can do something good with some PP work and a good quality printer...
Anyway ,if you can, use 800 ISO only because there's no other chance
1600 ISO is useless, nothing to say about it.

Easy of use...yes it's a faboulous camera, and very easy to use.
Maybe some beginners could be "embarrassed " by a great number of features...
(great, little, camera..)

Value for money

In Italy it cost about 400 Euro
I think it's a little...expensive

330 pictures with a single battery it' s a good autonomy in my opinion..

Good movie mode and...the lens is good, no doubt!

Anyway a little , fantastic camera.
Maybe a little expensive and...too many MP into a tiny sensor....

Canon...if you did a 6 MP G7....it would be...stunning!!
At the moment is a "very good" camera.
