Panasonic Lumix DMC-FX33 review
Major upgrade from FX01.
Had used the FX01 before, which became my choice for its small size and 28mm lens. Dismal low-light performance was a major flaw, though. The FX33 addresses this problem in grand style - especially in Intelligent Auto mode. The change is real and it's huge. I've chosen the FX33 over the FX55 precisely because of its smaller LCD - so that my wife didn't notice I bought a new camera
On top of its excellent low-light performance, this little camera offers fast operation, an intuitive menu, and some degree of control.
Its main selling points remain unchanged, though - compact size and wide lens. The ability to carry my camera in my jeans pocket all the time without inconvenience is a great advantage. It's also inconspicuous, almost a 'spy camera', especially when you turn off all the sounds and beeps.
I'd love something I once bought the KonicaMinolta Dimage X50 for - voice recording.
