Pentax K200D review
While Pentax continues to evolve steadily with its technology, its design department seems to have totally lost the plot. It is about as utilitarian and ugly as they get. There was a time when Pentax made compact, pretty-looking cameras, high on 'desire' (from ME Super to ZX-5N/MZ-5N and even *ist DS), but that has given way to a total disregard for aesthetics. Look at the Olympus E400/500... despite their technical flaws, you loook at them and 'want' them.
Pentax, please wake-up to the fact that (even though we might not admit it publicly) amateur photographers love their kit and want to feel good about it emotionally as well as technically.
Too big and too ugly! Otherwise technically competitive.
