The best digital camera that I have ever bought! I have so much fun with my Nikon D40! I use it everyday. If you are looking to get into Digital Single Lens Reflex photography, then you should definitely look into buying this camera. I have also purchased several lenses for it and that is what makes it so much fun. I have a great Tamron AF f/ 4-5.6 Di LD Macro lens, model A17. This lens came out in 2008 and it was made for the AF DX Nikon DSLRs.

Problems:
No live view for your pics but you get used to not having it and don't even care if this feature is not there after using it a while. You can quickly see the pics by hitting the playback button. So quick and easy!
I have not encountered any problems wihth my D40. My D40 has encountered problems with me...LOL. Takes a lickin. I've dropped once or twice and still runs like a champ.
