Fujifilm FinePix F31fd review
I own this little cam since summer 2007 and I can honestly say "wow!"
It's small: you can use it everywhere without problems.
It has great high ISO performance: you can use it all day and night long.
It has some nice manual control: you can learn about photograpy and find your way out..
It has great colour rendition.
Someone says there are better options for daylight photography. More zoom, more speed... maybe. But if you're looking for the highest image quality in a (really!)pocket body, the f31fd is a top model.
I own also a Panasonic FZ8 and a Nikon D40.
The Pan is enjoable: it has a long zoom and easy to use manual controls. But noise is a big problem even at base ISO.
The Nikon D40 has great image quality... and I use to learn more and more...
But in the end I love my Fujifilm. It's really close to Nikon in terms of image quality, but - due to it's small size - I can take it everywhere I go.
The better cam is the one you use all the times!
But use the manual settings for the best results.
