Panasonic Lumix DMC-FX48 (Lumix DMC-FX40) review
I own a Pentax K-20D plus sigma 70-200 2.8 hsm and pentax 16-50 sdm lenses. I was looking for a P&S camera to use in occasions where my reflex is unusable (sport activity, everyday shooting, party with friends).
Found the FX40 very good. Fast focus, reasonable image noise till 400 iso. Quite unusual 2.8 in wide. And much more unusual real wide angle zoom start. I think I'll use this camera a lot. In all occasions where my reflex is a little embarazzing the Panasonic can make a good job. Maybe found only some problem to focus in very dark environment. Not very powerful focus assist light. Impressive good work of the flash in close subjects, never got too brite (quite usual with Pentax K20d).
Very happy of this little camera.
Maybe missing some kind of grip in the front right, so to handle the camera with only one hand. Impossible to use the zoom if you dont hold the camera with left hand.
