Casio Exilim EX-Z400 review

The still photos are very good indeed. I was quite surprised at how good they were; almost as good as my Panasonic LX3. The HD video mode sucks big time and that because the anti shake system doesn't work very well in video mode. The VGA video was quite good on the other hand. Hard to understand why the VGA video was so good and the HD video was not. I particularly enjoyed setting the best shot selector to pick the mode and it generall pick the right mode.

Other than the less than good HD video, this is an excellent camera. The white balance was usually correct but occasionally it missed it badly. Same with the autoexposeure. Most of the time it was dead on but occasionally it was way off. Letting up on the button and trying again often resulted in the proper exposure. Why it took 2 tries, I don't understand.
