Canon PowerShot SX10 IS review
Got it so I didn't have to carry a big DSLR and zoom lenses. Is it as good as my DSLR? No, but it's a great camera 90% of the time, and a lot less to haul around. Sensor size coupled with super zoom has it's limits, but I knew that going in. Only compaint is that I don't consider it user friendly. You get your first hint when the 'little' book (aka User Guide) is nearly 300 pages. Features and settings are so numerous that it's a lot like your photo software. You end up using about 20% of its capability and ignoring the rest due to sensory overload. You can try to learn most of it, but unless you use all those features regularly, it's back to the book more than I like.
It seems to eat batteries, especially during the learning period. The AC adapter will pay for itself in the first few months. The generic one was much cheaper than Canon and works fine.
