Pentax K100D review

I am writing this review after almost having this camera for 2 years. Very capable camera and great image quality. Menu system is simply and well layed out. Very good battery life with CRV3, this camera has several options in choosing batteries. Kit lens has great quality for the money it being sold. Ergonomics are super, easy to handhold in a single hand while shooting. AF is sometimes slow with less contrasty scenes or low-light. On-board flash is very good. Image stabilization is extremely helpful, I have gone 1/8 sec hand held at 50mm without getting blurry pic.
I would recommend to any beginer to buy this one as their first entry level dslr. K100D is great Guru.

RAW image write up time is slow-display of RAW too can be little slow to appear. Mainly because of stingy buffer. Battery life with Ni-MH batteries is not great however with CRV3 or rechargeable Li-ion its very good. I wish it had dust prevention mechanism. Shutter is loud and have to be careful while using in wildlife photography.
