Olympus SP-590 UZ review

I am very happy with the camera. Very good value for money and simple to use. I bought the camera 2 weeks ago and taken over 500 photos so far

Image quality is excellent in good lighting conditions and average under poor conditions. Flash photography is good though i find it tends to be a tad an the blue side. Image stabilization is great in extreme telephoto mode though its best to brace against a steady object when using it. Colour and sharpness are excellent. I was considering purchasing a Nikon P90 but decided over Olympus from prior experience (my first SLRs way back when were Olympus -OM1, OM2 and OM10 and other Olympus equipment) and the fact that batteries are not propitiatory

Camera tends to hunt for focus when using extreme telephoto and under poor lighting conditions - can be annoying...

Other than that, its a wonderful camera!!!
