Pentax Optio E60 review

The Optio E60 is great compact camera for anyone looking for a budget priced

The design is simple-in black or silver and very attractive and eye cataching,

What makes it terrific is the wide angle 3x Pentax zoom lens with a focal length of
32 - 96mm which is ideal for getting more into your shots. plus a Intelligent Zoom
digital zoom which can be used for very closing zooming-upto 17x (and image
quality does not degrade that much).

The Optio E60 has a very good digital image stabilization mode called "Digital SR"-
also available in movie mode (where it's called movie SR)-this can be used to
acheive blue free images (this users higher ISO sensitivity .

ISO speeds upto 6400 are used in Digital SR mode and image quiality fixed at 5MP
(ISO 6400 is also available in
othert modes with image quality fixed at 5MP).

Pentax has included excellent face detection, a neat automatic AF tracking AF
mode (which keeps moving subjects in clear focus), continous modes including a
standard and "16 shot" option and handy in-camera panorama stitching when
using panorama mode.

Pan focus is one of the focus options on offfer-unlike the older Optio E30 which
had a manual focus option (not present on the E60).

Auto Picture mode is smart-detects what kind of scene you'd liked to capture, other
scene modes are:

Finally for newcomers to digital photography, there is Pentax's exclusive "green

you add a color effect to captured photos. .

Image quality as you'd expect from the well known Pentax brand is excellent-evenn
when in Digital SR, inage quality doesn't degrade too much.

Overall a terrific camera for all kinds of photo taking.
