Samsung NV24HD review
Build of the camera and it's sleek design is perfect.
Camera has own remote controller (CEC/Anynet+), and a craddle for AV and computer connection. All the necessary cables are provided, even a HDMI one.
HD (720p) video capture is very well and making movies with this camera as a source has almost a "semipro" touch.
Still image quality is about average, however, with somewhat too lightened colours. Also, blue-ish tone is sometimes predominant.
There is no significant distortions in the pictures, and the optical zoom mode is still good.
16:9 shooting mode is very useful for modern multimedia.
Connected to the big sized HD LCD-screen with HDMI over a craddle is great experience. You can control slideshow over a remote, and camera even has a few nice melodies for accompaniment.
Battery capacity is very big.
Sound recording is nice detailed and not too compressed (by dynamics means) stereo, but ANY wind will destroy the recording.
Digital zoom is (like allways) pure rubbish.
Verticals are almost non-existing term on pictures, due to very wide lense.
In prolonged shooting modes, camera tends to heat significally.
Black finished casing is beautiful, but sun is heating it too much. Do not leave camera naked on the sun, at any case!
