For a subcompact camera (tiny lens), this camera takes fine pictures. Good, natural color saturation and sharp images. I've used mine for about 6 months now and have been very happy with it. Slips into my pocket and don't even know it is there. Build is very substantial for the size of the camera, heavy for such a small camera. I found the touchscreen menu system very easy to use compared to my other cameras (Nikon 5700, Olympus E-3). Haven't used video much, but took a video at night with just a front porch light for illumination and was amazed at how good it was. Video would not play from MemStick on my Sony TV, perhaps had it recorded in HD mode, would have to read up more for a definitive evaluation, but I did not buy for video. Flash is what is expected from a small camera. Indoor pictures turn out fine with acceptable grain. Shutter response time is great, no missed shots so far. Macro works well.

Ergonomics are thoughtful. Ridges that allow for a firm grip, zoom lever has a nice raised bar for positive control. I have had no trouble manipulating the controls or keeping hold of the camera and I have large hands.

A fine little camera.

Could have used more scene modes but auto works well.
