Excellent images with many pre-programmed modes
I still think of myself as a film photographer who has been dragged kicking anad screaming into the digital world. So it's no surprise that I'm not big on pre-programming, but this camera offers several modes and they all seem to work well. For instance, I've gotten great shots of fireworks with no fuss, just by selecting that mode. Okay, maybe there are too many modes. I get great results in full auto and use one or two programmed modes for those difficult shots.
As a take anywhere camera it fills the bill. The 5x zoom is a very useful range for me. 14mp is more than enough. It's slim enough to carry in a shirt pocket. I have no problems with it.
One quibble, though, is I'm a viewfinder kind of guy. I've adapted to the LCD, but I really wish it had a viewfinder, hence the -.5 star.
Small, lightweight, great features, good battery life, and cheap - what's not to like?
