Small and nice

First, after reading some Internet I have recomended it to my friend, tired of carrying semipro SLR for family vacations . Later I have borrowed it for a test and then purchased myself after a long battle - should I get RX100 or NEX-5. Now, after some weeks and some shots I can share my opinion. Note! This is not a DSR replacements - low light performance, out of focus blur and handling - all are decent, but you can get more. On the other hand, when compared to my compact camera (Olympus Tough TG-1) it is really great - so much better... And it is really easy to access most features and to use them. What I like most - picture sharpness, panorama, HDR and DRE modes, two dials, overal impact of photos. What is amazing - image stabilisation during movie recording - when mountend on 4x4 and driven off-road, the footage looks even unnatural - so smooth. What I do not like - switching flash on and off thru menu is far too slow, I prefer if the flash swith toggles modes instead of actual precedure: press right arrow, toggle modes with dial, press ok. When I understood the camara was a right choice? - climbing a mountain last Saturday No way I would carry anything bigger.
