The XE-1 is an impressive camera and a pleasure to use. But there is across the web a growing list of obvious little annoyances that people would like to see fixed with a firmware update.
I'd like to add a suggestion to the list in the hope that Fuji is looking around for what its customers are saying.
I'd suggest you add the option of showing the active Custom Mode to the Display Custom Setting, so that you can see in the viewfinder if a custom mode is in use.
If you do that, then you should also be able to make the custom mode setting continue after turning the camera off then on again.
Also, since the film mode settings are global while the custom mode settings have specific adjustments to each film mode, you should add to the Drive setting the ability to bracket the custom mode settings, perhaps allowing users to select three custom modes to shoot, thus enabling their various adjustments to the film modes that so define this camera.
Obviously, there are a lot of other widely repeated requests for things like adding minimum shutter speed to Auto ISO, and enabling exposure compensation to Manual Mode, to allow Auto ISO to be enabled and then control both aperture and shutter speed with an exposure compensation from the Auto ISO calculation.
And the biggie is getting proper RAW processing with Adobe and Apple's Aperture.
Hoping for good things soon. Fuji, please make a good camera a great camera.
Fingers crossed, none.
