Pizzas, no. Tortillas, yes.

I asked my wife. She said the Olympus 12-50mm f/3.5-6.3 isn't much good as a rolling pin for pizzas, but not too bad for tortillas. They're a little lumpy, but edible.

They're lumpy because you aren't using it properly.

You're supposed to remove the body first ... .

It is good, the 50mm is just a too slow for moving subjects in-doors or in forest that doesn't get straight bright light in it.

It is truly a marvelous lens that is so versatile its only negative side is that it is longer than pancakes.

I am angry to myself I let it go (gave it to person who needed it more) and now I am seeking a new one as I really miss it performance from portraits to landscape, pseudo-macro (close-ups) and even outdoor sports.

Seriously, it isn't a bad lens. Better at macro than distance. Not in the same league as my FTs 14-54 MkII, but not bad either. However, the 14-54 cost more than double the price, so one expects it to be reasonably good ... .

On my E-M1, it has the added advantage of zoom and AF in movie mode. Predominantly why I kept it.

It is available locally for $250, supposedly unused. I like the 12mm wide end but not f6.3 at 50mm and the large size of lens, specially when mounted on my E-PM2. I have Oly 14-42, Sigma 19mm, Sigma 30mm and Konica 50mm 1.8

What is wrong with F6.3 at 50mm, most other kit lenses are F5.6 at 42mm, the difference is a tiny 1/3 of a stop.

Also the lens is not large, its no bigger than my original Panasonic 14-42.

I use it daily. Great all around lens. It is a little slow on the long side but there are other lenses for that. The "Macro" feature is very useful as well. Constant length is nice.

Much better than the useless and overpriced 14-150mm.
