Canon SX50: The Moon & Jupiter (and its moons!)
Took this the other night, the moon, with Jupiter and three of its moons visible to the right of the image.
Manual mode, tripod, 50x zoom with the 2.0x TC enabled.
The missing 'important' info is: iso80, f8.0, 1/4sec, AWB, manual focus (@infinity).
Cropped and resized for the forum...
Great picture! I now how difficult it was to get the exposure right and you made a very clever composition choice to only have a small part of the moon in shot so as to get the moons.
Thanks... You're not wrong: it was very tricky to get the exposure right without washing the moon out. The tripod was also very wobbly and just to get it framed was an achievement in itself!
I also forgot to turn image stabilisation off, but I think that would've made little difference.
