Post your "Not a Leica, I love it anyway" Shots

We've had a number of threads with beautiful pictures from "not a Leica".

My favorite "Non-Leica" is a Nikon rangefinder.

Nikon S2 with a 1950s Zeiss Opton 50/1.5 Sonnar "T", shimmed for the Nikon.

Zeiss Opton 50/1.5 Sonnar "T", wide-open on the Nikon S2.

X-pro1

Easy. The amazing X-pro1 with the 60mm macro lens.

Try to guess the ISO in the first picture without checking the exif... Straight out of camera jpeg, no pp under artificial light.

I also like this one

Thanks, D

With Ricoh GRD III:

Ricoh GRD III

And what can we learn from all your nice non-Leica shoots?

"All you need to take the most beautiful pictures in the world
is a simple Praktika with a 50 mm lens (or any other camera).
Stop wasting your time talking cameras, and go take pictures!"

... he is absolutely right, but ... Leica is nevertheless my favourite tool !

Both with an Olympus E510. The first with a Minolta 50mm macro lens attached the second with the Olympus 12-60mm lens.

Polaroid SX-70, Impossible Project SilverShade film, scanned with Epson 2450

See it on Flickr.com

The Polaroid SX-70 is unique and sees in a unique way. Always did, and with the Impossible Project films, even more so.

BSweeney: This is a brilliant idea! A thread for anyone to post non-Leica images will probably be accepted by the editors and moderators of DPReview, those here who want non-Leica shots shown, and those who are reluctant to view these postings.

Really...an elegant solution for all. I hope this thread will fill quickly, and that part II, III, etc. will follow shortly thereafter.

Longshoreman at lunch, Dutch Harbor

I have to say, the iPhone is a good camera. I pulled mine out to check the weather and shot this quick photo while having lunch with Hal, a local longshoreman.

Used to own a Canon 40D and a 28-105 L glass before switching to Leica about 3 years ago. No other gear anymore but this is a shot I like from back from these days.

why thank you Godfrey, I had to go check all the other posters to see who you was talking to.

I'm pleased my image hits a good note in your eyes, it is one of my favourites since I picked up a camera again last December after a 25 year break!!!!

take care.
