Wedded to the 35 f2 IS (10 Pics)

Since getting this lens December, last year, I’ve hardly taken it off my 5DIII, in fact, it’s on 95% of the time.
I’m from the “old” school that sees this lens as having a “comfortable” journalist’s  perspective; not too wide to distort and not too narrow that makes you want to back-up. I never did like the 50mm, for the latter reason.
Presently, I’m in Mexico and although I have not used this lens at its fast f stop advantage yet, I appreciate its edge to edge clarity at my typical f stops of 5.6 to 11. It’s light and it’s flare is well controlled. (Sitting in my camera case are my 17-40L, 24-105L, and my 100-400L) sigh
Below are a few samples at 1600 pixels wide. Please click on “Original” to see that size.

nice pics!

I own the 35mm f2 IS too, it is lovely, and has replaced my 35L without issues. However, since getting the 24-70 f2.8 mkII, it spends too much time in my closet :-/
