Some flowers from the past

Several years ago my wife and I visited Victoria, BC. On this rainy, gray, cold February day I wanted to submit some flowers for others who might be going through the winter blues like I am.

Thanks for posting this, it is -10 c here in Toronto, certainly need some colorful flower shots to warm me up.

Victory BC is a very nice place. I still remember that water fountain. Would love to go back for a visit someday.

-10 C, chiue. Oh my! That is cold. I grew up in Niagara Falls and my sister still lives there so I remember that things can get cold in the winter. My dad built a backyard rink for me when I was a boy it was so cold. But now with global warming I doubt the rink would last long. Thanks for commenting and enjoying the flowers. I miss the gardens too.

Re: Pam

I joined up in September of 2003 and left briefly in 2009. I was unable to resume my original name (JamesD) so I opted for JamesD2. While I was not the "first" or a "founding" member of the forum, I was certainly an early contributor along with Dave from Downunder and Little Eagle. Times have changed and most of those folks have gone to other forums or simply left photography forums altogether.

Thanks James but I am interested to know details for this schism that happened to this forum and the other the Easysharers one... there must be a story with persons behind it and I miss it I think...

Re: James

Well.... "I" (along with many others) left this forum a few years back (about five years now). As near as I can recall, it was the result of some heavy-handed dealing on the part of moderation here against one of our more colorful members. When he was banned from the forum, many of us decided to leave as well resulting in a decimated Kodak talk forum. I'm not sure just what percentage left at the time, but I would venture to say about half the members. Some (like myself and Pam) retained membership in both groups (this one as well as the "then" newly-formed Easysharers forum). Some decided to put their eggs in "one" basket (here OR there). And that's about all I can tell you.

Lovely shot James...

This looks like a beautiful path for a stroll.

I'm no flower expert but I do recognize the red Tulips(I think).

Thanks for sharing with us.

Dan.
