One for Fun

Someone painted this bright red flower on the side of an old building..a spot of beauty in drab surroundings!

Re: Iván's Third & Exhibitions

I really like all your shots, Ivan! Your 3rd entry shows the warming up of your first exhibition shot..brilliant! The red cap really stands out..a race for a choice spot in the car?

Hi Tom..great set! The bright red tree is amazing..we don't get that in my part of the world. I like your compositions especially of the first and third shots. The leaf shot is lovely..nice capture.

Paul's Red 2

Being somewhat colour blind I chose 2 where i was confident te colour red was prominent:

Firstly a number of Father Christmas's (should it be Father Christmi?):

Under the tree

And then some apples - a couple of Golden Delicious & a couple of Red Delicious (my favourites):

Delicious

Thanks

Paul

Re: Paul's Red 2

That's funny, Paul..I like your Father Christmi The apples look delicous and yep..two are very red! I like your composition with the apples..simple but striking and great lighting highlighting the red apples.

Thanks for commenting!

My children had their usual places in the car, which can be inserted a third row of seats and so can even take 7 passengers, preferably children on the rear seats. But this time it might have been about the usual 5 seats.

Great pics, Ivan...

Love the burst of red and the bokeh in your first shot! Interesting tourist sign..can you please tell me what it means?

Thanks for commenting.

It was seen during nice holidays spent in the Julian Alps in the neighborhood of Bovec, Slovenia. We made excursions, did hiking, even Soča River rafting.

Whereas in my country Hungary we use differently colored (red or green or blue) different geometrical shapes (stripes or crosses or triangles) as markings for tourist trails in the mountains etc. in Slovenia the tourist trails seem to be marked the same way, with the red circle, as depicted above, and they are numbered at the junctions to differentiate among them.  Below 2 pictures from my country about the tourists trails markings here. The first one is a repository of hints on the possible trails and their signs at a "busy" junction.
