***Mini-Challenge #375 Warm Up With Red!***
Not official entries, just for fun...
A Brazilian Cardinal -
Lunchtime for a Cardinal chick -
A Rose-breasted Grosbeak in the apple blossoms -
Hmmm, I see a pattern here...
Camera gear in profile.
The Firehouse Restaurant is in Apple Valley, CA. High Desert area.
Congratulations on your first grandchild. They are truly a blessing and lots of fun.
We just found out Madison will be having a new sister in July.
Your cardinal shot is just great, Ken. I didn't know that male cardinals help raise the chicks.
Thanks - we visited the same location and dance group last year - I had my G1X ready - but the outcome was not the same - might post a comparison later
A little story - of the diamonds
We were burgled once and didn't have any photographic evidence of some of the items
Now when we buy anything of value I try to do a shot like this - with whatever flowers are at hand
The flamenco shot is one I have earmarked to try and paint (I paint watercolours from some of my photographs - strictly for my own consumption!) - Not been able to achieve much with that one as a watercolour yet!)
The view from the Rockerfeller beats the view from the Empire State hands down!
Lady in Red - Adam-T .. G1X
** A Problem is only the pessimistic way of looking at a challenge **
Great set, Ragman..red was a good idea to warm us up! You have a variety of reds from bright red in the first pic to a subtle red around the cat. I especially like your PP in the second picture.
The tomatoes are red and the peppers are hot.
Two from me; still looking for number three.
That third photo blows my mind a little, Steve. At 15 (28)mm it's wide-angle, but with the height and distance it almost has that tele-stacking effect. And where the red at the top of that building lines up with the red in the sunset...gorgeous. Just perfect. Keep it up, man.
Is that at the Tecate brewery? Love that stuff...I wouldn't have been complaining if Tecate caught on as Mexico's beer rather than Corona.
Also, beauty bokeh in the second shot. That SX40 is quite the camera
I give you three meals from my cycling tours on Gran Ganaria
And one for fun!
