Wolf Spider on Oak Tree

Thanks to Karen for hosting the thread this week!

Found this spider yesterday evening on a giant oak tree in my backyard, it has excellent camouflage for it's environment.

He's hiding in plain sight...

Not sure if there's algae growing on him or he just looks like this naturally.

Gifts from Asia

This little brown stink bug found a piece a piece of pottery in my house for camouflage.

The mimosa and brown stink bug come from Asia and are non-native to North Carolina.

A wasp and two flies on a rotten apple

Seven related images. Is that too many in one post? I hope not; but if it is I'll know better next time.

These were captured last August, but I've only just got round to dealing with that day's pictures. I must have used either the Raynox 150 or Canon 500D close-up lens on a 45-175 lens on a Panasonic G3. Unusually for me, I used flash for these.

Re: Microscope camera

Is that shot inside the eye, or just a bloodshot exterior?

Have you a picture of the camera, looks like a fun experience.
