Story behind our forum names ....

I get a kick looking at the various names we use.  I came up with Texas Heat because a couple of summers ago in San Antonio we set a record of 53 straight days of temperatures over a 100 degrees.  Would love to hear about why you chose the names you did.  Mako is some kind of shark (I think), toomanycanons is a hoot, stunt monkey and don't even want to go there with funky doobie (ha ha).

Part of first name, part of last...I've used it a long time, but some sites don't let me use it because it has the word "kill" in it.

Re: Story behind our forum names ....

I've been using TYYM for as long as I can remember.  I've had many people guess at what it means...  Thank You Your Majesty... This Year You Move... Try Yanking Your (favourite M word here)...

Years ago, I was an aficionado of Dungeons and Dragons (early '80s) and I wanted to use a name that had something of a mystical spelling... My name spelled with YYs did the trick..

Tyym = Tim

Cool .... 1st name / last name.  Nice explanation Tim, and some philosophy from light path.  I'm loving it.  Thanks for all the replies so far.

I once was trying to create an e-mail account and got frustrated at the lack of coherent options being all taken, so i figured I would use something odd that people likely didn't enter

since then its been blue_cheese_candy unless of course the site accepts blue_cheese, which obviously saves me typing....

rhlpetrus is just my initials (renato hyuda de luna) plus petrus, a mod of my real last name pedrosa, in honor of a great red Bordeaux. My Flickr name is RHLPedrosa.

When I was 3-4 years old, this little cartoon character was my idol http://www.calimero.com/ but I couldnt pronounce his name right. ergo K-laminero. I remove the dash for usernames as it makes it simplier and many sites dont accept -

Mine is from two things. The "Re" was random, and sounded cool. Cat is because I like cats and I'm a furry. So, yeah. ReCat because all of my friends seem to like it as well as me.
