GPS10 unit worth to buy? Some deals on NX gear too.

I noted that GPS10 unit is available at Adorama at $99, which is half price. Is it worth to buy?

I also noted some other deals at Adorama, like 16mm black is $249, white is $199, 20mm is $199, NX210 is $499

No, it isn't worth. Buy any small GPS tracker for $50 - you can use it for EACH camera, 100.000 till some millions trackpoints.

I agree, I own it...

It's big (It needs 2 AAA cells), unreliable, slow and badly implemented. Nevertheless. I will most probably use it again in my next holidays. Shame over me...

Hi Knallberto, why do you own so many of these agps data loggers? Is one, better than the others, and does the same software work with all the differemt devices?

Re: GPS10 unit makes few sense ...

I didn't realise it was that simple! I must be behind the times. Couple of questions:

- Are there any brands you'd recommend or not recommend or is just best to buy the cheapest available?

- Do they work well in cities? I ask because my phone GPS drifts alot in dense urban areas with lots of tall buildings

Re: GPS10 unit makes few sense ...Hiya Knallberto, could you answer some questions please?

Hi there, Which of these GPS units that yu are showing, is, in your opinion, the best? Is the one that you recommend, the best build quality, or just the best at detecting the GPS? Do they all use the same program to link to the photo's, or do you have to have different interfaces for each unit? Thanks, in advance for your assisstance.

Each unit has advantages/disadvantages - memory, battery power, price, precision, chipset, software, up to more than 50 satellites ... for photography you can use each of them - switch on and put it in your pocket or photo bag.

It's all the day long active, you must not wait for sat connections, it writes/documents your route, it needs no power from your camera.

I like most the cheapest one - GT730 - USB connector, 256.000 way points, up to 65 satellites .. €30
