Good use of the lion and the decorations making what might have been a boring building shot very interesting.

Babcock State Park WV

This was taken 2 days ago.

The area received about 2 inches of fresh snow that lightened the scenery and the cloud cover allowed for excelent midmorning shooting.  There is not a lot of scenery this time of year but the Glade Creek Grist Mill offers some great shooting.

Both frames are excellent, but I like the composition of the second one a bit more.   Great work!

The framing on both is simply superb.  And as you said you had great light.

Great shot.  I normally don't like having people in my landscape shots.  But in this case including the people makes the shot.

The orange light on the hoodoos really makes them stand out.  Great shot.

i was at a family christmas dinner & saw this happening outside....immediately bailed from the table & grabbed my camera. power lines couldn't be avoided, so i made a little geometric square in the lower right of the composition out of the power pole & horizon line. just a wild, wild sunset. very minimal post-production. 1DmkIII + 50L.

Several years ago I was on a Sea Scout adventure and we had a similar sunset happening.  I was rushing to grab my camera out of my bag when one of our leaders stated: "What's the rush.  It will last for a long time."  But no, sunsets don't last long so moving fast is important to get it at it's grandest.  Your rush was well worth it.
