What kind of indicator are you talking about? If it's the histogram, the NX100 and NX20 are similar, both having a User Display option in one of the Custom settings pages that lets you put a check mark in the Histogram box. Then with both cameras, you'd hit the [Disp] button one or more times until the display shows the histogram. This also works for displaying the RGB histograms in playback mode, but the playback histograms don't need to be enabled with a menu option. If you're talking about the "blinkies" that some other camera brands have, that doesn't appear to be an NX option, but I've never seen an NX10 so I don't know whether it has that option or not.

never saw it on my NX100, but agree it would be useful on my NX200.

Nice feature on the NX10, unfortunately I don't believe it exists on NX200/20.

Bill

Thanks for your answer. It is the "blinkies" I was refering to which was on the the NX 10 which I found very usful. It does seem that it is not on the NX20 which I find a suprise and big disapointment.

thanks again

Thanks for your answer. I could not believe this feature was not on the NX20 and thought it was my inability to seach the menu however sadly it appears not to exist. Would be great if it was included in a firmware update. May be Samsung believe as the NX 20 is less prone to "clipping" that it has unwisley been dropped

all the best

Yeah, that is unfortunate they dropped it.  I never realized it was there, and don't use those anyway since I generally shoot RAW where that doesn't apply so much (it can show clipping in the JPEG and be fine in the RAW.

I have seen them implement a few suggestions I have seen on this board, but not all.  I wouldn't hold your breath.

Eric thanks for your answer. I also shoot Raw however found this a quite a useful indicator and was supprised it was dropped given the many additional features which  for me are more novel than neccesary.  I have only had my NX20 a short time and have not yet realy evaluated how clipping compaires to the NX10 and how much retrevial latitude is available in Raw. I expect and hope both will be better

Generally Im impressed with the NX20 and have found your commentary on it over the months very helpful and key to my deciding to buy

Thanks

I know this thread is old and you may no longer use your NX100, but the "blinking blown highlight" feature exists on the NX100. To enable/disable is, set the camera in playback mode, hit the Menu button and the Highlight option is there, on the second tab...

From NX100 User Manual...
