Yes, very nice blue and scape, Thanks.

These are taken on the Dutch coastline near Alkmaar at Camperduin:

As far as the eye can reach

These eyes aren't going anywhere

Dynamics, straight in the sun, hurts the blue a little

Used the great 7-14

Never realized the Olympus blue. I have always been in favour of the colours from Olympus in general. Every time I see the OOC output of a Canon or Nikon I know I made the right choice.

Happy shooting!

Always learning......

Typical 7-14 shots.  I love that lens.

My favourite is the second, and the way that the statue seems to lean into a windy sky.

You picked a good vantage point for that one.

I didn't hear about the special olympus blues till some years later but I SAW them in the first picture I took with my first oly camera, a 510, at the reservoir near my house. I still see them with the EM5, in the shot below it taken at Lake Tahoe in October.

EM5 in 2007, shot in jpg with default settings, all I knew how to do at that time

EM5 in 2012, RAW with default settings in lightroom

The second with the boulders is OK, but I do feel that they dominate the scene a bit much.

So my favourite of those shown here, is the first, especially because of how the person is framed by the horizon.  Super good composition.

And such nice blues!

A "canyon" always makes me expect steep cliff edges.

I would call this almost a valley.

But I do like the blues, and how the little puffy clouds emphasize how blue the rest of the sky really is.

Two very striking images.

The lines in the first are awesome.

And the second reminds me of a trip to Ireland we did maybe 10 years ago.  We visited the Skelligs then, but I almost did not make any photos.  Imagine that !  This was the time of analog film still.

Re: Some Blues along the Ri Grande, Los Lunas, New Mexico

Nice blues.

And great definition on those dry trees with that lens!

Those are good ones Roel.

Here's a picture of Lake Tahoe that I took with the Olympus E-500 this past summer.

Great blues in the water and sky, and the rocks are a perfect foreground interest, while the humans provide a sense of scale.

A perfect landscape IMHO.

Re: Blue Lake Tahoe - Peyto Lake is pretty good too...

That is a more milky kind of blue, like the one we witnessed while travelling Iceland last summer (2011).

After a big climb we reached a pass and saw a lake glistening in the valley down below.  A magical moment.  Your shot reminds me of that moment.

The saxophone is a very interesting machine, but I'm more interested in music.

Thank you very much for adding something else than a landscape and reminding us of other kinds of blue.

You have a stunner perfomance image here, with just great expression, rich colour and a very good off-center composition.

I'm glad I "revived" this thread, so that you could add these two wonderful images.

Stuff to dream away with.

Thanks Roel. 7-14 is my favorite.

These were quick shots with high winds, but worked out pretty well. Notice the last one is OOF!

Appreciate your kind comments.
