6D just for fun.
6

Today i was about to try some outdoor shots, managed a few before the rain came, got slightly wet as did the camera luckily for me no harm done. Im no pro as these shots would suggest but i am liking this camera.

Click for Exif.

May i take this opportunity to whish all a merry christmas, and if santa brings you a 6D if one has been good, you enjoy it and hope you have as much fun as i do.

I have a 550D, which I´m very fond of. However I´m gonna go FF once this is worn out. At christmas parties etc. with my family, I can go iso1600 and perhaps iso3200 if it is an emergency. The 6D is just in another league!

How does 6D compare to 5D3 in respect of high ISO?

I dont know as i dont have the 5D MK3 but i think what ihave seen the edge goes to the 6D although im sure some would disagree with that.

Thanks for posting! Curious as to what camera you're coming from.  What's your opinion of the ergonomics of the camera? Like button layout and general feel of the camera etc.

Hi-ISO's appear really good! Somehow, your post has not yet attracted the attention of pixel-experts. They would have clearly explained why it is not as good as it appears. That is beside the point. I am becoming interested. I have 550D. 6D appears to be a logical upgrade.

Thanx for nice demonstration of its Hi-ISO potential. Enjoy your camera.

Re: 6D just for fun.

Judging from test samples of dpreview as well as from the few samples posted here, 6D seems to have slightly less noise and simultaneously a little more detail than 5D III in the same test samples. That's for jpegs.

But considerning that 5D III and 6D have the same processor (digic 5+) these jpeg results suggest that 6D is slightly better in raw as well.

Hi there

Really nice pics! Thanx for posting!!!! I LOOOOOOVE the ISO 8000 image quality!

How's the AF speed of the 6D, and does the 6D have a red or black (or blinking) square to inidacte chosen AF point in the VF?
