Vertical panorama with SX40

In order to capture the recently refurbished National Museum of Scotland from ceiling to floor, I took 6 pictures and merged them in Elements. I panned from above my head to almost my toes. SX40 did a great job!

Wonderful image. Really like the composition and lighting.

I have been working with stitching landscapes with my SX40 lately, using the stitch assist feature in Canon's Zoombrowser software that came with the camera. Have you tried that and, if so, do you find Stitch Assist or Elememts having any advantage over the other? Although Photoshop CS is my normal photo software (and I also keep a copy of Elements on one of my PCs to help people who use it), I haven't tried stitching in either Adobe product. Any opinion?

Thanks,

Vision

Thanks for the comments. I've used CS3 and Elements 9  for stitching and find Elements 9 marginally better and more flexible. Have you tried also Autopano Pro? This is very flexible and can sometimes resolve really difficult situations.

Wonderful shot! I am terrible photographing architecture, I never get the angle right but you managed to nail it perfectly! Well done.
