Thanks for posting this that was definitely an indepth review, I like how they provided the original jpgs and Raw files. Brought them into PS5.5 to play with and the results are really nice.

I applaud your language skills. Unfortuantely my German doesn't help here and Google translation of  Asian languages is so difficult for me to read.  I don't suppose you would care to summarize their findings/conclusions would you?

OTOH If you are being Facetious then I applaud your succinct facetiousness

Cheers

What do you call a person who speaks two languages?  Bilingual

What do you call a person who speaks one language?  An American.

As an American it was Greek to me.  Pretty pictures though.

As an American who speaks and reads and writes four languages (English, Chinese - which I have a degree in, Italian, and Greek), try not to embarrass yourself with such sweeping and very incorrect statements again.
Just because you choose to not be educated doesn't mean that the rest of America chooses to be.

A completely unnecessary, grammatically incorrect, and very arrogant response.

A99 is useless beyond ISO 800, unless you want watercolor paintings.

The examples images shown in this Korean review do not look of good quality. They have a small area of good center sharpness that deteriorates quickly away from dead center, which is surprising at some of the apertures used. The overall detail and sharpness of these particular a99 images are not up to full frame standards. The question is: Why?

Let me guess: Too much time on your hands since your self-imposed boycott of the Nikon Consumer Forum, so you thought "why not troll the Sony forum"?

I'm waiting for our Pentax mate to turn up as well. Just not sure what name he will be under this time.

Jonikon is the classic troll, below is what he wrote to me after I expressed my opinion on a Nikon forum, keep in mind that I'm a Nikon owner for over 25 years

"You are a typical Sony fanboy hateful of anything Nikon. Please take your hate back to the Sony forums where you will be welcomed with open arms as a defender of the Sony faithful.  "

Ignore Viva, even most die hard Canon shooters don't take him seriously anymore, for him being too much of a Canon fan, to put it mildly.

Jonikon is the third (?) incarnation of a user formerly known as KM Glassman and - more famously - "Phixel".

hrmm maybe the arrogance is in the idea that one doesn't need to learn another language.. and that the world should be made to communicate with him.

Re: Excellent Korean A99 review with good raw samples

Thanks for sharing this review with us.  A few comments:

(i)  I would have liked to see more shots in the ISO range 1600-6400 (the only samples they posted were not shot in low-light situations) to get a better idea of how the a99 performs.

(ii)  Most of the photos are shot at ISO 100, and those shots could have been taken with the older FF models (i.e., a850/a900) without any problem.

(iii)  Sharpness is ok, but nothing outstanding.  Is the AA filter different from those used on older FF cameras?   I don't see any strong crispness in those shots.
