SX160 IS - details, details

Neck strap. This is the first model in this series to offer both left and right body loops, though the provided strap is the same old, small, wrist string. I puzzled over how to adapt a more-or-less standard neck strap to fit the two tiny strap mounts. Answer: small electrical-wire zip ties installed with a loose fit (.5-.75 in. loops) in the mounts and then trimmed, provide the room required to add a proper strap. Having owned several versions of this camera, I would say that my only disappointment with the (improved) 160 is the lack of an exposure bracketing drive mode. On the other hand, so-called 'Live' exposure mode, which offers a quick way to adjust exposure, saturation, and temperature makes up for that in other ways... Oh, and the continuous shooting mode is so slow as to be of little use. Otherwise, a good unit to always have on hand, when a larger, more elaborate system is out of the question.
