A700 vs D.H.98 Mosquito

On Saturday I was very excited to attend the official launch of a restored De Havilland D.H.98 Mosquito, at Ardmore Airport in Auckland, New Zealand. This is the only flight capable Mosquito in the world.

The organisers made quite a day of it, with a number of the De Havilland aircraft stable on show, as well as other old favourites, the Spitfire and Mustang.

Here is a quick sample while I'm still processing images. Hopefully I'll have some more to follow.

No termites in that one!,
They made them about 5miles north of me.
Nice to see one flying, thanks for the post.

Thanks guys...

It really was a treat to see her fly.

Will try to post some more images this weekend now that I'm through most of my processing.

Yes, nice picture.

Was not Hermann too much always sky-high to have any nightmares?
