Hi Kimberly, nice to see this thread again. I still visit the forum regularly but don't post much as I only have some old fuji's so not really that relevant to the forum discussions. My favourites of your shots has to be the 'Out in the middle of No freeking where...' love the title and it's just as I imagine parts of the US, closely followed by the storm moving in (amazing cloud structure).

I've got a backlog of old shots to process but I wanted to contribute to this thread with some fuji shots so processed some that I'd been promising myself I'd do for months, so thanks for that...

I built my first pond this spring and have been trying to photograph the visitors....

other critters not at the pond

And a recent shot of the house and new pond, I built it in the style of a French château.... I wish....... not taken with a fuji

It would be great to see these threads continue, however it will mean I'll have to use my fuji's more often....

well hello there ... I missed this thread during all the action :-)

I love your shot from the sky and that is a wicked mammatus  cloud formation!

I still have Fuji's X-S1 here, and it rarely gets a workout since I got my new GF3. This little thing is pretty fun, I must admit. A few shots from this week ...

Some flowers still blooming on me neighbor's yard ...

An experiment with off board direct flash with the SB26 ...

A late night exposure ... difficult to process shots with heavy shadow on the 12MP older m4/3 sensor ... need to get onto the 16MP platform soonest ...

Pumpkins at a local market ...

Albino pumpkins!

End of the season ... another neighbor's yard ...

Across the street from me, autumn is in full swing ...

Just before sunset on the local trails ...

One last shot on the way home ...

I did use the X-S1 recently, though ... last night I photographed a lot of my dSLR equipment in preparation for swapping it out for the smaller m4/3 equipment ... so here are some ambient light images using the X-S1's excellent macro facility (this is what it is really good for, I still believe that nature shots should be shot at full zoom with an achromat for better background control) ...

My 28-75 2.8 ... a terrific full frame midrange zoom ... acts as wedding lens on DX ...

Good view of the aperture blades on the 50mm 1.8D ... another amazing lens ...

Thanks for creating this thread ...

Hi Kimberly!

Hi Kimberly - those clouds on that last shot of yours are fascinating!

It's been ages since I contributed properly to this forum. I've still got the F31 that I started with here at DPR but I don't use it very often now. It seems like a lifetime ago.

Here's a couple of recent shots from me using either a Nikon D700 or D800.

Re: Gear Forum

Hi Ian,

Breath-taking pictures as always. I love the cliff picture best.

I guess FTF is now a gear forum, nice seeing your pictures here though.

I normally make visits to your gallery once in a while.

Just came across this thread. I know the forum police authorities discourage people from posting pics for the sake of it - just to say that think it's great, and a change from the grim nerdishness that characterises  most of our forum contributions. I think DPR has been at its best as a mixture of tech and creativity. Long may threads like this flourish.

The shot of good old Battersea Power Station is a stunner - I used to see that belching smoke when coming up to Waterloo from Farnham on the train as a kid in the 1950s. And the Pantheon is timely - I'm off from Singapore to Rome on Monday for a spot of hols. Which will I use more in Italy? The X-10 or my trusty Pentax K-5 with a couple of primes? I'm interested to find out myself ...

I'm still getting to grips with my new X10. Here are some shots that I tool last week at a local park. Quickly edited in Picasa.
