Overide Developer settings
But what are you talking about?
I'm experimenting with Quantum Physics and I just discovered that I can completely destr
We are reopen some setting on NX200 developer menu which is off on default.
The testing is depended on NX100 development menu which has more stable jpg engine.
On NX100, Adjustment Control/Line process Step = 13, Line Process Mark =12.
Compare to NX200, Line process step=off, Line process mark=7. What is the difference when NX200 change to the same as NX100 or even higher; ie the highest setting=99?
Any improvement is what I wish to know. The testing still continue; some test on ISO
10,000 have better detail, more clean high light areas when LPS=25 LPM=24
Report at later time.
If you are bothered about minor detail shoot raw. do you know what the settings are actually changing ?.
It is not a little change. Like other NX200 user, I am very much disappointed when using jpgs over 3200. Until one day; I discover that some leak caused by reflection of sensor frame. The dark gray sensor if tanned with pure black color, my NX200 can be good at iso 5000 (JPG). ISO 10,000-12800 only 0 EV area can use, under exposed covered with noise. My camera had locked for not go further to 3200. Further explore for anything better with these under priced NX100 and Nx200 that only had Mfr fault.
NX camera would have an additional tool, the setting above would changed linear amplifier of sensor. When setting at 25% (I use percent instead of marks) result in better details of shadow as picture 1. When set to 99, very bright image can be obtained. Sample 2 shoot at ISO 12800.
Could you provide a before/after comparison?
Because I don't really understand what is the effect on the pics you provided...
Edit : I've tried different combinations, and every file seems the same to me...
Try only once by setting at LPM=99, 1/15 second f2.8 at candle light or one blub street on manual focus iso 12800. It will self explain the result is many time even better than LIVEVIEW. NX I have rarely seen final image better than Amoled Liveview before.
Note to select a lens with less flare.
Do these changes have any effect if you shot RAW and do you know what happens if you turn the Line Step on and select a high number .
Test only OOC jpg, no raw. But lens and sensor frame have black treatments. I much consider that the image become grey if no such treatment. Dark black color is hardly obtained at high ISO 12800. More photos at 81/80.
