---HELP--- Horizontal Lines in pictures taken during the day
Dear all users,
I'm having problems with Oly XZ-1 during daylight. Pictures I've taken have Horizontal Lines in them... I've tried manual, program and iauto modes but all results the same. It is most apparent in white background.
Here are some samples:
I would appreciate any help.
You might want to post this in Oly Talk forum if you haven't already. Don't know how old your camera is, but perhaps you should contact Olympus if it's in warranty.

I had a similar problem during my holidays. Very annoying ...
But in my case
I see purple banding on the display, not grey
the banding gets better/worse in portrait/landscape orientation
I found 3 forum threads with the same problem. Search for "OM-D banding" but ignore threads with "lowlight" and "panny 20mm" ...
I entered this German thread which also shows the issue (see the first picture, also you might use Google translate):
The IBIS is in my camera is defect and causes noise/banding on the sensor.
I will send my camera to olympus service.
Just for anyone interest, I took my Oly XZ-1 for repair and they changed the IS-CCD UNIT and Lens Unit for me.
Now there's no more horizontal lines in white backgrounds
Good to hear Ken.
The images you posted looked pretty much like there was some sort of hardware problem.
