how long do you wait to change --ie., percentage?
i have an epson 7900.
how low a percentage do most people wait till they change a cartridge?
is the counter fairly close so you can change it at about 1 percent????
i realize that i weight this with getting air in the line.
any kindly suggestions? thanks!
Sometimes they won't let me start a print because they reckon there won't be enough ink for the whole print, and then I have to change cartridges before hand. On other occasions I have changed cartridges on 3880 and 9890 printers half way through printing with no problems.
What is the cartridge size on the 7900: how many money is 1 or 2%?
On the 7900, why would you not simply change it when the cartridge is empty. You won't get air in the lines - The printer was designed to completely empty a cartridge.
Now, when it wants to do a cleaning or power cleaning, it may ask you for a new cartridge - put the new cartridge in, let the printer clean, and then reinsert the old cartridge until it runs out.
i noticed that the cleanings were excessive. so i turned it off and have been doing nozzle checks. when i get the replacement cartridge, i will do a cleaning just to be safe.
this is probably off topic:
after i shut down the cleanings on the control panel, i noticed that the ink usage went down measurably.
