TL350- Dang

Impressing me highly with this small sensor in raw.

3200 ISO shots, I've got a lot of them. None haven't been decent and easily salvageable. Jpeg's are another story but the raws are quite good. Just as good as the GRD IV I reviewed nearly, but a smaller camera with a more versatile zoom lens (not as bright but oh well).

Not so long ago that would have been a fine result for a top-drawer DSRL @3200. The EX1 certainly has its qualities.

Yes the EX1 does, I agree. Only this one is the TL350, not the TL500. An even smaller sensor than the EX1/TL500.

I would class that result as very good, it's surprising for the smaller sensor.

does that mean that you did some post processing on that shot?
cos it does look really clean and I would have expected more noise at that iso.

Re: TL350- Dang

In ACR the Chroma NR slider was set to 10, that's it.

I hardly ever touch the luminescence slider, I prefer to keep details in my images even if that means having some grain (the grain just needs to be uniform and nice, like this sample).

I agree, its a great result.

I don't see much special here.

What's more telling is that a 2+ year old, discontinued camera is getting more attention on the Samsung forum than the EX2f.

There's nothing surprising here; the op is just overdoing it.

Fair enough, but point me to another 1 2/4" sized sensor that performs this well. Or have I missed something?

The first part wasn't telling at all (at least evidence wise on your part), so the second part above is all that more confusing. Telling, what in particular is this post or in your reply is "telling"?

Oh?

Specifically- how?

Enjoy the camera for what it is and the fact you have it.

Few if any, on the forums will be hot to get one no matter how good it is anyway. What most of them are looking for is a camera that will maraculously give them better imagery than what their present skills are capable of.
However, It just isn't gonna happen but they still dream and belive in it.

Add the fact that the TL350 simply isn't available in any store , at least in the US and might be rare to find one ebay .

Re: TL350- Dang

Definitly enjoying it, sharing my joy here too :).

Agree with you on the other stuff btw.

Hopefully Samsung will at least consider making another camera similar to it in the future, for now, its a cult camera considering its lack of availability and owner satisfaction.
