Canon forum has more threads than Sony Forum

Olympus forum has more messages than Sony Forum.

We're beaten in both the catagory.

We are not distant second though,

We still have over three months to go,

There is still a hope to be number one.

I also blame myself for being number 2. I was lazy at times and did not give this forum more than I received from this forum. My personal account on this forum is on debit side.

So what you're saying is that we should talk more and about more topics?

Maybe the other forums are more repetitive than this one.

Maybe our threads tend to run longer and with greater levels of excitement. :-)

Yes !! We should produce more than we consume. I consumed more from you, Yehuda, Ferguson, Shay and many many more in this forum. However, I did not produce enough. I was lazy at times.
Maybe the other forums are more repetitive than this one.
The law of statistics and averages will not positively confirm this.

excitement. :-)
Statistically, you are correct. This is one catagory in which we are number one. We have more messages per thread than Cannon and Olympus.

I hope to be number one in all three catagories by year-end.

Quality is a very subjective matter. We have to assume, the quality of messages and threads in Canon forum and Olympus forum is same as ours.

Than, quantity remains as only criteria to determine the popularity of the forum.

I believe, we can still be number one before end of this year.

I was not aware that there was a "comptence" going on for the 1st place forum...

I'm with Yehuda's thinking. Even if I'm a newbie, in my short time here I have found that the people is great and the relations amongst STFers are friendly, courteos and helpful.

If these other forums have more threads and messages, well, congratulations for whatever it is worth for them.

I hope that this does not sound too harsh, my intention is not to flame anybody, it is just what I honestly think.

Carlos,

I meant to promote a healthy competition where everyone is a winner and no loosers. I was hoping, this thread will encourage more paricipation for the benefit of all. I know, I learned a great deal from this forum and would like to continue learning more.

I believe in producing more than what I consume. However, I am not as knowledgable like Shay, Yehuda, Ferguson, Wes, Ulysis and may many more. Hence, my contribution will be below average. However, I am trying to make it up by donating my talent acquired in this forum to my church.

Carlos, you were not harsh at all. I just did not convey my intention behind starting this thread. I hope, this clarifies my intention.

Thank you,

We may not have the most messages or threads but that is not the criteria by which you measure success. I have been around here for about a year now and I can tell you that the people in this forum are very knowledgeable and go out of their way to help anyone who needs it.
In my mind that is how you measure success and in my opinion we are # 1.

Scott,

I am looking forward to a healthy competion to get more forum members to contribute and participate. When this happens, everyone is a winner, and no loosers.

I benefitted a lot from contributors loke Ulysis, Yehuda., Wes. Ferguson, Shay and many many more on this forum.

I know, I have not done my fair share of contribution. I can not. I am not as good and as knowledgable like Ulysis, Yehuda, Wes, Ferguson , Shay etc. etc. Hoewever, their contribution to me is put to a good use. I use the talent acquired reading their advice to raise funds for the temple. I am the official photographer for a local Hindu temple. I sell the pictures and proceeds go to the temple activities.

This competition is good. It encourages forum members to participate and contribute. The knowledge is spread for the benefit of all.

I believe in, "Always produce more than what you consume." I failed to convey this message when I started this thread.

I hope, this clarifies my intention.

Thanks,

Bharat J. Sutaria
I must have missed the memo. When did it become a competition and,
more importantly, WHY is it a competition?
