EOS-M 22mm VS X100

Personally, this is something I'd enjoy seeing. The X100 is nice, but flawed in many ways. I'd certainly be interested in the EOS-M can actually compete with the X100.

Anyone else think the same?

Image quality could be comparable enough. You could say the same for any APS-C sensor nowadays though, from the cheapest to the most expensive dslr lines as far as RAW images are concerned....

Nothing else is really comparable though. I say that because they're completely different target audiences. EVF, OVF, Manual controls, price, looks...... Very different markets for sure.

No, but people are comparing the Leica x1/x2 quite readily with the X100, despite no viewfinder (though the X2 has remedied that, but not really well).

So let's wait and see how the IQ is and how well it handles wide DR and low light.

The closest thing to an X100 wasn't the X1/x2, but the Nex7 with the Zeiss 24. However, the form factor did not work, so this is looking much, much closer with the flat pancake.
