Yesterday I went down to see the Super Guppy arriving at King County International Airport, or Boeing Field, in Seattle. While waiting for the Guppy, one of Boeing's 787 Dreamliners landed and I took the opportunity to practice on it. The settings were good and these are the results.

Once again, click on "(Original)" and zoom in to see the full size image. Needless to say, I was impressed.

K-5 and 60-250.

Looks like a plane, to me -- a big plane. Pretty decent colors and contrast offered by the K-5 and your shooting, however.

AND THIS is EXACTLY WHY I'd never buy a Boeing 787 instead of a K-5! I can get a million or so K-5s for what ONE of those big planes cost, and I STILL wouldn't be able to control it like you and I can control our K-5s.

Once again, the K-5 wins, hands down, in this comparison, too! :)

Thanks Jeff.

The K-5's manual is easier to learn as well.

Thanks Lloyd!

I have seen excellent results with the 55-300mm - results I would be well pleased with. I think the gains in some areas would equal the sacrifices in others.
Looks really nice to me! Really nice! Would love to put a 60-250 up against my 55-300 side by side to see how much I would gain. Need to get the K-5 first I guess though..... hmmmm......

Thank you!

Probably a lack of technology over a lack of desire.
Nice pictures! I like it that you can see the raked wingtips well in the first picture. You can see similar shapes in the wingtips of birds, which makes me wonder why it took so much time for manufacturers to catch up with nature...
