Babelfish translation:

  • télézoom 80-400 mm f/4,5-5,6 EX OS " Optical Stabilizer ". Yes, you read well... " 80-400 stalibilized "!!!

A true innovation, with two modes of stabilizations: Mode 1 (H + V) for the static subjects, mode 2 (H only) for the follow-up of subjects moving. Like the other objectives with ultrasonic motorization HSM, it authorizes the permanent final improvement of the point without disengaging of l.AF.

Could be very interesting.

That 80-400 looks tempting...

I hope it is as good as Canon "arm-leg" IS lenses. Lets see...
80-400 = 128-640 on a D60. Now we have to se how good the glass is.

Yes, if it's as good optically as the 100-300/4 I'm sold on this one... BTW It also has an HSM motor!

more tempting for Nikon geeks.

Because nikon users only have a 80-400VR (no AF-S) with a realy slow focus system.

If the Sigma has HSM and OS I'm sold on it.

I was going to say...

...that this is old news, when I noticed the posting date on the first message.

BTW, last I heard, the 80-400 OS was not going to be HSM. Has anyone here really heard otherwise?

I haven't heard ANYTHING about the Sigma 80-400 OS in quite awhile. Wonder if they've run into problems?
