Birds of Odin

Birds are fun to shot :)
Black birds are hard to shoot against a bright sky. Good job showing some detail. Which lens did you use? It's so easy to get purple fringing in this scenario.

PS The birds of Odin were ravens. I don't know which corvids these are, but surely not ravens.

I don't claim to be an expert, but the grey nape, black cap and pale eye are Jackdaw characteristics. Jackdaws are typically about half the size of a raven.

Hello,

I used 50-135 I just bought it and it is fantastic. But as you point out one can get a little PF when using it. About the birds, well I know the birds of Oden are Raven but I didnt know the name of this but I am sure they are from the same family though. They are extremley clever. :) ( i shall get the real ravens too soon enough )

You are right. But the latin name is corvus monedula wich makes it a relative to the real bird of Odin wich is corvus corax. :) My mistake

And Jackdaws they are :-). Kaja in Swedish. They make for lovely pets, and yes, they are the smallest corvids in the country.
