Technically there is no current DSLR made by Leica. ( I don't consider the S a consumer DSLR) They made the R8 and R9 and the DME digital back to convert those film cameras to digital. You see them on Ebay once in a while. I have one and it has worked quite well for the last 10 years. The pixle count is bit weak by todays standards however.
The only new camera from Leica that will work with R lenses is the new M 240. I just took delivery of it and I am waiting on a Novolflex R to M adaptor to use my R glass. Reports on this forum and elsewhere report execellent results with this R glass on the new M body.
