anyone know what some of the hidden developer menu functions do?

on nx10, accessed by going to smart mode, then hitting left, center, right, then while holding the + - exposure compensation button, hitting OK.

i only use it to see the shutter count, but anyone know of any other uses or what certain things do?

i wonder if samsung nx will ever get a hack like canon does..

Samsung NX10

For NX200, it's Smart Mode - switch on - directional UP - OK - directional DOWN - hold EV +- and click OK.

The hidden menu will show up, go to adjustment control, below you can see your shutter count... i will discourage anyone to mess with the controls if you're not sure what they're for, it's like messing around with your computer BIOS which affects everything in your system.

Heard somewhere it's gonna void your warranty if you accidentally hit something bad though, although i'm really trying hard to find what are those controls for.

Does this still work for the latest firmware? I can't seem to get it to work anymore. I did it once a while back.

Never mind, it works fine. I have to hit the +/- button first, followed by the OK button.

I was hitting the + - and OK buttons at the same time.

Looking through them they look like functions a technician might enable to run tests on your camera to see what is wrong with it, or to run factory burn-in testing, etc.

Re: anyone know what some of the hidden developer menu functions do?

I don't have nx20,

how many others with what model nx camera's can still get into their hidden developer menu?

On my nx200 has been unavailable for like a year now since they disabled the feature in firmware update. Somewhere around fw.v1.1? Cant remember.

But the above mentioned button sequence used to work and was actually useful for example what someone just asked in another thread a couple of hours ago. How come my adapter doesn't show a lens attached to the camera, with the lens detached message. Go into the developer menu and there is flag to turn on for that.

It's not like Samsung Android smartphone bootloader unlock. Accessing to Samsung camera engineering mode will not void warranty.

I think the later NX's hidden settings are accessed via the usb plug when hooked up to a PC. There was something on a tech forum (I've lost the link) where a nerd was feeding an NX20 code via the plug.

Do have any idea how can I find it.

I have a NX30 and would like to look into additional possibilities.

Any idea I appreciate.

Thanks

bump, from 2014. lol I need a way to get into this for an nx30 please?
I've tried the two patterns of keys, left to right, and there's a sequence for another camera and nothing works.. I have firmware 1.31, I guess it's disabled.  I heard that you might be able to get it to work somehow from a usb cord...?
